ABOUT US
United Tegaru Canada, is a non-political, non-religious Organization initiated by concerned Tigrayan Canadians from across Canada. Our organization was launched in response to the war on Tigray waged on November 4th, 2020 by the Ethiopian Government.
MISSION & VISION.
Our mission is to advocate and amplify the voices of the Tigrayan people by promoting peace and connecting Tigrayan’s across Canada and globally. United Tegaru Canada, believes that advocacy and educating the masses are the best way to assist those facing discrimination and injustices. We will stand against any acts that compromise to air and silence the voices and the right for justice and economic development with an emphasis on women, children, and persons with disabilities.

The vision of United Tegaru Canada is to make a meaningful contribution in promoting human rights and advocate for peace, security, and development in Tigray Regional State.

WHAT WE DO.
As privileged Canadians, we believe we have a moral responsibility to advocate for those that are oppressed and demand social justice for the people of Tigray. Our hope is that when the war ends in Tigray, to continue to be the voice and advocate for the victims and support the transformative changes required in the Tigray Region that align with the community vision.
